Hi-pot (hi pot, hipot, or flash) testers and dielectric strength testers are typically used to perform electrical safety testing on components and products to insure that they comply with the the safety requirements of UL, CSA, TUV and other standard certifying bodies.
The model 564 allows you to test components and products without power cords.

This tester performs the same functions as models sold by Phenix, Slaughter, Rod L and Associated Research but at a much lower price and without all of the complex features that confuse production employees.

Easy to Operate
The dielectric strength can be tested with a push of a single button.

Adjustable Output Voltage
Adjustable 0-2,500 VAC (or 0-3,000 VAC with option 40570). The output voltage displayed on a kilovolt meter.

Visual and Audible Alarms
Excessive leakage or dielectric flash over causes automatic shutdown of the output voltage.
|
|
Fast Response
The tester uses a fast response detection circuit to detect even short duration arcs or breakdowns that might occur. Once a fault is detected, the test circuit opens within milliseconds.

Meets UL's 120K Ohm Test
The UL 120K Ohm test standard is available on the front panel for easy use.
